Hello Everyone!!!! It is the dementor of your day! I am here to ruin a perfectly happy Friday with MATH!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!
Today's topic is triangles... it is review. Remember! A triangle is one half of a parallelogram. So you multiply the base times the height then divide that by 2!!!!! Easy peasy!
So today's assignment is pages 133-134 in the packet. You can use a calculator as long as you show the formula, then substitute the numbers.
Here is a video that will you show you how to find the area of a triangle:

Trapezoids!
Today's lesson is late! I am sorry but I had technical difficulties.... I don't know how to use technology! LOL
So.... trapezoids. They have 2 parallel sides and 2 sides that are not parallel, therefor there are two bases. You must take the average of the bases (add them up and divide by 2 or multiply by 1/2) then multiply that value by the height. Don't worry! I have a video and this time it stars....me! So have fun making fun of me and do your math!
I miss you all terribly!
Then do page 135 (make sure you look at the notes!) and page 136

Late again! This time because a very sweet cat showed up at my backdoor and decided he is in love with me. He keeps crying at my back door. I will post pictures of him at the bottom of the home page. I am sitting outside
with him now.
Today is polygons on the coordinate plane... I made another video for you!!! I know you love them!
Today's homework is below... if you don't have a printer, just do it on a piece of paper and save it for when we return! Sorry it's in three files... my tech skills are limited.

Well here we are....Day 3 of Math Lessons from the Living Room! For a special treat today, you got to go on a field trip of the living room...haha
I think I did a little better with the file today, I learned how to make it into a PDF and just upload it without scanning.... I am waiting for your applause ;-)
The sweet cat stayed with the neighbor last night and I think he found a home, if we don't find his people! So that is good, 4 cats is a bit much lol
The work is below, please also do pages 141-142 in the packet.
So... please don't stress. Just relax. We are all doing our best. All of us.
It will be ok and we will be back to normal before we know it.
Ok miss you guys!
